Welcome to the website of LP Creation. LP Creation is the name used by French model-maker, Pierre Laugier for his 1:43-scale, hand-built, motorsport models. On this site you can view his current and past work, from one-off, scratch-built, all-opening models, including his latest chassis and ’bodybuck’ models, to highly-detailed, limited-edition transformations of kits.

Pierre has been making motorsport models since childhood. Like most boys he started with plastic kits but soon moved on to build kits in resin and white metal. With experience, he added his own modifications, changing or making new parts to ensure that the finished work was as close as possible to the real thing. Creating such models became his passion.

LP Creation was set-up in 1993 when Pierre began constructing his all-opening, super-detailed models, completely transforming AMR, Tameo and Meri kits. He gained immediate recognition with his Formula One models at the UK’s Modelex exhibitions during the 1990’s. His unfailing commitment to accuracy has won for LP Creation an international reputation in the world of hand-built, 1:43 scale, motorsport models and his work is in demand by collectors around the world from Japan to the UK.

Since constructing a Lancia D50, his first scratch-built model featuring opening and closing bodywork, Pierre has continued to refine his techniques from his workhop in Aix-en-Provence and no longer relies on kit components for his models, preferring instead to make his own parts, usually in brass. One of his best-known models, a Maserati Tipo 63, was a complete labour of love and took him almost two years to make. His latest creations include a limited-edition collection of scratch-built, super-detailed chassis that are a new departure for LP Creation.

Pierre regularly shows his models at Retromobile in Paris and at Novegro in Milan. More recently he has begun to exhibit at Race Retro in the UK, and attended Le Mans Classic for the first time in July 2008. If you are interested in seeing Pierre and his models at any future events, details can be found in the Shows page of this site.

Pierre has been interviewed for the ‘Meet the Manufacturers’ series by UK publication ’Four Small Wheels’ (03-2008) and by Brian Harvey for Japanese publication ’Model Cars’ (ed. 148 2008-09).
